Friday, Aug. 1
Enjoy a special snack | Drop off your favorite stuffed animal any time between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, then come back to the library on Saturday between 10 and 11 a.m. for a special snack and to see what your stuffed friend got up to during their campout! Practice your art | Bring your current crochet, knitting, cross stitch or other needlework project to the Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road, from 10 a.m. – noon to work on in the company of others. Open to adults.
Donate blood | Support the Red Cross and help patients in need by donating blood at the Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way, from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Donors may be 16 years old with parental consent or 17 years old and up. Connect with other educators | Upcycle Treasure Box, 5628 Gravois Road, is hosting an educational swap and sale from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Teachers can choose to bring items no longer in use from their own classrooms to swap out with new classroom supplies. Tickets cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Those who buy a ticket in advance will be able to use it any day of the swap (Aug. 1, Aug. 2 and Aug. 3). A backpack of new school supplies will also be included with the pre-bought ticket. All attendees must bring their own bags to full with as many items as desired. Join in worship | At 7 p.m., there will be a three-fold prayer at the Monastery of St. Clare, 200 Marycrest Drive, for the Jubilee Year. They will pray before the Lord in a Blessed Sacrament, an intercession of St. Clare and a plenary indulgence. This will take place each night through Aug. 10.

Join in worship | Beginning at 7:30 a.m., there will be an All-Day Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at the Monastery of St. Clare, 200 Marycrest Drive, where you may receive the special plenary indulgence.
