An unnamed adult male died in a motor vehicle crash on Lemay Ferry Road on July 13.

According to police, officers from the South County Precinct responded to a call for service regarding a motor vehicle crash in the 2500 block of Lemay Ferry Road at 7:17 a.m.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that an SUV and a motorcycle were involved in the crash. Preliminary investigation indicates the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Lemay Ferry Road when he was struck by an SUV traveling south making a left turn into the parking lot of a business.  

The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he was pronounced deceased. The driver of the SUV was not injured, remained at the scene, and is cooperating with the investigation.
