As of 2020, we are the St. Louis Call, previously known as the Concord Call, Green Park Call, Mail Call, Oakville Call and SunCrest Call serving readers with total-market direct mailed newspapers since 1989.
Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Although our website and breaking news are always updated and available 24/7, our office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
The Call is closed Christmas, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Easter and July 4. Other closures will be announced in the newspaper.

Our newspapers are mailed directly to every home and business in zip codes 63123, 63126, 63127, 63128 and 63129. There are also stacks available in every city we cover and in south St. Louis, St. Louis County, Jefferson County, Kirkwood, Fenton and Monroe County, Illinois.

As south county’s only community-owned newspaper since its start in 1989, the Call print edition is published on Thursdays, when it is sent to more than 50,000 local homes and businesses. We also publish breaking news and local news you can trust every day on our website, your #1 online news source for local news, sports and advertising in South St. Louis County.

About Call Newspapers:

They say dynamite comes in small packages. Well, these days so do great community newspapers.

Today, people know that if they want to know what’s going on in south county, they’ve gotta read the Call.

From the start, the Call’s unique direct-mail or total-mail-market business model, which delivers the weekly news to the mailboxes of every homeowner and business owner, has brought the community closer together. The weekly delivery of the Call has always been one of the most anticipated of the week.

People say they “just love that little paper” when they find out where we work or when customers overhear our sales representatives’ presentations to local businesses. The Oakville Call was launched without fanfare to zip code 63129 in August 1989. By December, sales had already exceeded the company’s projections for its third year of operations.

“The combination of hard-hitting and pertinent local news, direct mail delivery, our readers’ response and the business generated by our advertisers is very gratifying,” said Publisher Deborah Baker.

The company followed with the Concord Call for postal zip code 63128 in November 1990. The SunCrest Call began serving Sunset Hills and Crestwood in 1996, followed by the Green Park Call in zip code 63123 in 1997 and the expanded Mail Call edition that goes to all of south county six times a year, including all of zip codes 63010 (Arnold), 63125 (Lemay) and 63123 (Affton).

Statement of purpose:

We dedicate ourselves to the public, holding its welfare in the highest regard and standing firmly in opposition to any who would oppose it.
