To the editor:

Cheers to Carl Hendrickson and his column in the Dec. 9 edition of The Call about “The Gift of Effective Communication” through membership in the Toastmasters organization. Toastmasters certainly offers a unique, wonderful, low pressure learning experience, as Carl says.

One local club you may want to look into is South County Toastmasters. We meet every Wednesday at 6 p.m. and you can attend in-person or by Zoom. We’d love to have you as a guest and there’s no charge or obligation to see what goes on at a Toastmasters meeting. You’ll experience a friendly, welcoming environment and meet interesting people who want to improve their communication skills while helping those around them do the same.

South County Toastmasters was founded in 1975. Since then, it has helped hundreds of people become better communicators – from public speaking in front of an audience to one-on-one conversations. For more information about South County Toastmasters, check out our website or contact us at southcountytoastmasters@gmail.com.
