To the editor:
Who will answer the 911 call when no one is there to take it?
Who will defend us, protect us, serve us when we cut the budget we no longer believe?
To serve and protect is what they had sworn, some have fallen short of the mark.
To those who have upheld this pledge; we have belittled them, thrown stones at them, pointed weapons at them and shot.
They were there to protect and serve, but now no one answers the call.
Our protection and security had been corrupted by a few. We were led to believe they were all the same.
We can no longer stand by and accept this untruth; for when we no longer have those who protect and serve — who will answer the 911 call?
