LWV encourages positive action on issues important to you

Letters+to+the+editor

To the editor:

Are you looking for a way to take positive action on issues of importance to you? Are you feeling helpless and asking yourself “What can one person do?”

One answer: Join The League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis where there is power in community. We are a nonpartisan organization of all genders and ethnicities who come together to support a strong democracy. We neither support nor oppose candidates for public office. Our mission is to promote informed and active participation in government. The League works to increase understanding of major policy issues and influences public policy through education and advocacy. It acts on those issues chosen by the membership for study and action. Our members are passionate about the issues that the League champions and committed to supporting an informed electorate and helping to make government work for the people.

Are you concerned about a fair redistricting process? So is the League. Worried about what is happening to your water? So is the League. Medicaid expansion? On our list. As are ensuring access to the ballot for all eligible voters, raising awareness about misinformation and many other issues that you will find on our website, LWVSTL.org.

The League of Women Voters of Metro St. Louis welcomes anyone 16 years and older and serves the city of St. Louis as well as St. Louis, St. Charles, Franklin, Jefferson, Lincoln and Warren Counties.
