To the editor:
On Sunday, September 14, 2025, the City of Green Park celebrated its 30th anniversary of its incorporation with free music, food, attendance prizes, games and fun. Dr. Sam Page, the St. Louis County Executive, even came with a proclamation that it was Green Park Day in St. Louis County. Fred Hoene was given a proclamation as founder of Green Park, and received a Certificate of Recognition from Governor Kehoe of the State of Missouri. The Almost Famous Band was fabulous, Kenricks Catering grilled wonderful hot dogs and Lolli, the Balloon Lady, kept the kids enthralled with her amazing balloon shapes. There was a photo booth, a historical display with a slide show, a history booklet and pin your residence map. Thirty-seven attendance prizes, tote bags and other giveaways were handed out. Although it was extremely hot, which kept attendance down, it was a great event. Thanks to all the wonderful volunteers who made the day so memorable.
