Following the April 7 election, the newly elected Board of Education members for both the Affton School Distrct and Lindbergh Schools were sworn into office.
In Affton, the three incumbents — Jeanette Schoenberg, Justin Carney and Bridget Sinamon — were reelected to their respective seats. They each took an oath of office on April 14. Following their swearing in, the board moved to the reorganization portion of the meeting in which members were given the chance to nominate their colleagues for specific board positions.
Sinamon, who had previously held the role, nominated Carney for board president; this was approved unanimously, 6-0, as board member Michael McNeil was absent. Schoenberg was then nominated for vice president, which, too, was approved unanimously. Carney previously served as vice president.
Next Jeff Franta, a board member in his first term, was nominated for treasurer. This was also approved, 6-0. Kenny Edgar, who previously held the role, will remain on the board as a director.
At the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education meeting on April 16, Matt Alonzo, Christy Watz and Andrew Lawson were sworn into office. The three incumbents were reelected in the April 7 election.
Alonzo was reappointed as board president, and Lawson was reappointed as treasurer. Megan Vedder retained her role as vice president, and Julia Voss retained her role as secretary. Voss and Rachel Braaf Koehler retained their roles as MSBA delegate and alternate, respectively.
