Running back Kevin Fisher, a Lindbergh senior, carries the ball down the field on Aug. 27 while his teammates attempt to hold back members of the opposing team.
Kicking off both teams’ 2026 football season, Lindbergh and St. John Vianney high schools faced off on Aug. 27. Though it was a Thursday game, atypical for the sport known for its “Friday night lights,” the stands on both sides were packed.
The Flyers will next play at Oakville on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m., while Vianney will play its first home game of the season against Ladue.
