Looking at the Lindbergh girls tennis team’s roster, you notice a few things right away: leadership and experience.

“Things are looking good,” Lindbergh head coach Chloe Pruitt said. “The girls are working hard and putting in the effort to make the most out of every practice. So I think it’s going to be a great season.”

The duo of junior Gabby Moran and sophomore Grace Leitner return this season after making it to the doubles quarterfinals at the Missouri Class 3 girls tennis championships.

Moran is known for her deadly combination of speed and stamina on the court.

“Gabby’s fitness level is just off the charts being a soccer player,” Pruitt said. “She’s one of the fastest and fittest girls on the court for us.”

Leitner’s second season on the varsity squad is showing a player with a lot of confidence after last year’s trip to the state tournament.

“We’re definitely seeing her mature from her freshman to her sophomore year,” Pruitt said. “She’s very poised and confident, and she should be confident because she’s a great player.”

Seniors Jocelyn Davidson and Mika Kosuge will also be looked upon to provide some key leadership roles to this year’s squad.

“Jocelyn is a ray of sunshine and positivity this year, and she really knows how to boost team morale,” Pruitt said. “Mika is a hardworking player that’s another great energy piece to our team. Both are always encouraging other players on the court.”

The Flyers begin the 2026 season on Aug. 28 at home against Ladue.
