Ten former directors of the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education gathered on Oct. 8 to meet with district administrators and current Board members, and learn about issues that are affecting the district at this time.

Superintendent Jim Simpson provided officials with a summary of the district’s aggressive enrollment growth, and the new construction that is providing essential relief to overcrowding districtwide. Lindbergh Schools added 200 new students this year in grades K-12. District officials broke ground on a sixth elementary school Oct. 9, Dressel Elementary, and celebrated the opening of Lindbergh Early Childhood Education’s West campus, located behind Truman Middle School.

“Board of Education members past and present play a valuable role in our children’s educational future,” Simpson said. “We appreciate the investment these individuals make and their continued focus on doing what is best for kids.”
