Friday, Nov. 14
Make a difference | This November, the City of Crestwood is coming together to help fight hunger and support local families in need. Both the Parks and Recreation Department and the Crestwood Police Department will be hosting food drives throughout the month. Residents are encouraged to donate canned goods and non-perishable food items; drop-off locations include the Crestwood Police Department lobby at 1 Detjen Drive, as well as the Crestwood Community Center, located at 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane.
Make a difference | Head to the Sunset Hills Community Center, 3915 S. Lindbergh Blvd., for the 2025 Feed the Masses Food Drive! The City of Sunset Hills will be competing against other local municipalities to see who can collect the most non-perishable food items by Nov. 30. All items will be donated to a local food pantry. Donate five cans for a free group fitness class. Donations can be dropped off at the Sunset Hills Community Center during open hours through Nov. 30.
Get your workout in | SAJE Senior Ministry is hosting chair yoga at 10:30 a.m. at Concord Trinity United Methodist Church, 5275 S. Lindbergh Blvd. Admission is $5 and SilverSneakers is accepted.

Watch a movie | The Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road, will show the classic film “Fantasia” from 12 – 3 p.m. This movie is rated G and has a runtime of 120 minutes. Refreshments will be provided.
Get crafty | Enjoy a variety of activities inspired by animals in autumn at the Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way. This event, which will take place from 2 – 3 p.m., is meant for children ages 2-5. Registration is required. Visit slcl.org/events for more information.
Play a game | Head to the Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane, for a night of word bingo and other games. Prizes will be awarded to game and round winners, and bingo daubers will be provided. Come dressed in your best grandma or grandpa costume and enter a costume contest. Food and drinks are welcome, but do not bring glass containers. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and bingo starts at 7 p.m. Open to ages 18 and up. Click here to register.

This event will be hosted by the City of Crestwood Planning and Economic Development Division and Ward 1 Aldermen Jesse Morrison and James Zavist.
Find the right school | St. Justin Martyr Catholic School, 11910 Eddie & Park Road, is offering Kindergarten and preschool classroom tours from 5 – 7 p.m. Meet teachers and learn more about the school, which can be started at age 3. Snacks and fun activities will be provided.

Conducted by Saint Louis Vets Connect, “Veterans Coffee Talk” was created so veterans can enjoy the brotherhood shared by all branches of service, providing a non-political atmosphere where their stories and valor can be shared. Free donuts and coffee – and occasionally breakfast – will be provided.
Learn more | Boeing historian and curator Allison Balderrama will present how St. Louis helped shape the aerospace industry through the story of McDonnell Aircraft Corporation, founded in 1939. From building the first jet fighter to operate from a U.S. aircraft carrier to launching America’s earliest astronauts into space, McDonnell’s legacy highlights the city’s lasting impact on aviation and space exploration.
