Dive into history | What are the differences between a daguerreotype, an ambrotype and a tintype? Learn more at 10 a.m. at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road. Park Historian and Curator Nick Sacco will explore a variety of historic photos from both the park’s collection and his own. He will explain the technology of photography, how it evolved during the 19th century and how photographic technology combined with the subject can help historians date the image. Visitors are encouraged to bring a historic photo of their own to include in the discussion. The program is free, but you can call 314-842-1867 ext. 230 for reservations.
Hop into spring | The Easter Bunny is coming to Jefferson Barracks, 345 North Road, and leaving some eggs to find. This egg hunt is for children ages 1-11. The first egg hunt will take place at 10 a.m., and there will also be face painting and balloon animals. The cost of entry is $10 per child, which includes a balloon and a face painting. Hop into spring | Round up the kids for Crestwood’s annual Easter Egg Roundup. Children will dash through designated age zones to hunt for colorful eggs filled with treats and surprises. Keep an eye out for a special visit from the Easter Bunny. It will take place at 11 a.m. at Crestwood Park, 9700 Meadowfern Drive. If rainy weather rolls in, the fun moves indoors to the Crestwood Community Center. Children under age 2 may participate if they can walk independently, but they must be registered. Look at trains | Head to the Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 842 S. Holmes Ave., to see a working model train display featuring vintage and modern engines. All ages are welcome from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Get cooking | Teens can practice their cooking skills while making food from around the world. This month, they will be cooking Afghan Ashak. This program is for teens ages 12-17. Join a competition | Do you have the puzzle bug? Grab a group of four friends, co-workers or family members who are good at sorting, organizing and puzzling. This event will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane. Each group will be given the same wrapped puzzle, and as the buzzer sounds, your team will open the puzzle and begin. The table to complete the puzzle first wins. Join in worship | Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3600 Hampton Ave., has worship recorded and streamed every Sunday from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. on Facebook and YouTube and in person.
Make a difference | The River Rock Church of Lemay will host its Better Rest program for families in the Lemay community who have children in need of a bed. Volunteers are wanted. Volunteers will go to homes to meet families and measure the bedrooms to make sure the bunk beds will fit. The church also needs volunteers to go into homes, build the bunk beds and gift bedding and Bibles. Donate new twin-size bedding, pillows, sheets, comforters and blankets at River Rock Church, 1601 Telegraph Road, from 9 a.m. to noon. Call the church office at 314-968-0600 if you have questions.
Hop into spring | There will be an egg hunt at Suson Park, 6073 Wells Road, at 10 a.m. This egg hunt is meant for children ages 1-11, and it costs $5 per child. After hunting for eggs, be sure to stop by the farm to meet all the adorable animals — you might even catch a glimpse of some new baby animals. Register at tinyurl.com/SusonEggHunt2026.
Connect with others | The St. Francis Knights of Columbus will host its Charity Family-Friendly Indoor Meat Shoot at 1 p.m. at 7381 Telegraph Road. There will be refreshments for purchase. This is the last Meat Shoot of the season.

Dive into history | Celebrate America 250 with the American Revolution Experience, a pop-up exhibition featuring display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology, unique artifacts and primary accounts to educate audiences as to how the lives of ordinary people were affected by the events of the American Revolutionary War. It will take place at Jefferson County Library Northwest Branch, 5680 State Road PP, from March 30 – April 11.
