Former OHS student writes in defense of Principal Jan Kellerman

Letter to the Editor

To the editor:

I am a 25-year-old male who graduated from Oakville High School in 2012. The same speech was given to my class about the dress code, and even the same words people are upset about were used.

The truth of the matter is Principal Jan Kellerman said nothing wrong, it just wasn’t worded properly.

When we hit puberty, our hormones are going crazy. It is easy for one to be distracted from the lesson when they have other things more enticing out on display to view.

I feel all of the outrage is just crocodile tears from social-justice warriors that wish to further push their agenda on the education of our students by threatening people’s livelihood.

I know I’m not the only person that feels this way, but I’m brave enough to push back against these thin-skinned liberals.

Being blunt is not a crime, nor should it be treated as thus.
