To the editor:

This letter concerns writer Lisa Douglas’ letter in the Feb. 22 edition of The Call. 

The Republicans in the Missouri Legislature are doing the right things. She is misinformed regarding citizen initiatives. 

These initiatives are driving away our power as individual citizens. Most of them are made by big money groups and lobbyists, and just give them more power and wealth. 

The legislature should continue to restrict grassroots initiatives, and make it harder to make changes to our Constitution. This will help us keep our Republic by the people.
