To the editor:
Bayless, Affton and Lemay is OUR home. If we want a safer, stronger community for our families and our children like our neighboring Oakville and Mehlville communities, it takes ALL of us paying attention and “speaking up,” Lemay residents and neighbors. Let’s look out for our community and each other.
Our county councilman, Mike Archer, was elected to represent the people of Bayless, Affton and Lemay and serve as a resource for residents. His job is to help address concerns in our neighborhoods — whether it’s potholes, unsafe roads, neglected homes, park conditions, safety conditions such as drugs, or public safety issues like the homeless. But keeping our community safe and strong takes all of us working together. All of us are concerned about our future generations. We “all” live here. Our children grow up here. They deserve to be able to ride their bikes, play outside and enjoy their neighborhood without fear of speeding cars, violence, drugs, gun shots or unsafe conditions.
If you see something that doesn’t seem right — dangerous properties, suspicious activity, unsafe streets or homes that are being neglected — please speak up. Your voice matters. If you have concerns, suggestions, or want to report issues affecting our community, please contact County Councilman Mike Archer. It is confidential and Lemay needs you. Mr. Archer was elected to serve our community — but he can only address issues that residents bring to his attention.
We all live here. We all pay taxes here. And together, we can help make Bayless, Affton and Lemay a safer, stronger community for everyone. Working together, we can make a real difference.
