SSM Health St. Clare Hospital welcomed its first baby of 2019, Scarlett Spies, on Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 2:43 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds and 12 ounces and was 19 inches long. She is the first child of Nathan Spies and Kaitlin Love of St. Louis. The hospital gave the family a gift basket filled with blankets, bibs, toys and other necessities to congratulate them on being the hospital’s first baby of 2019.
