Lindbergh High School hosted the Special Olympics of Missouri April 12, witnessing a massive turnout of 360 athletes from across the St. Louis region.

The event marks the largest participation in over a decade. Noteworthy local mascots, including Fredbird, Louie and Lindbergh’s own Ace, were also in attendance to take photos with athletes and spectators, pictured above.

Prior to the beginning of the event, Long Elementary School held a special send-off for its students participating in the games, while the Class of 2024 seniors formed a heart shape at the center of the football field.
