• Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site and the Historic Sappington House are hosting a special joint program about the relationship between the Dent, Grant and Sappington families from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Historic Sappington House, 1015 S. Sappington Road. Admission is $10 for adults and free for children under 12.

• Learn basic drum beats and play along to popular songs at the Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road, at 2 p.m. No previous music or drumming experience required. For those ages 10 and older Registration required at slcl.org/events.

• National Park Historian Nick Sacco will discuss the history of Thanksgiving during the Civil War with a presentation at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road, at 10 a.m.

Sunday, Nov. 20

• Gethsemane Lutheran Church, 3600 Hampton Ave., has worship recorded and streamed every Sunday at 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Facebook and Youtube, and in-person

• Embrace Church, 314 S. Clay Ave., worships at 6 p.m. Zoom option available.

• Trinity United Church of Christ, 5200 Hilde Ave., is holding services at 10:30 a.m.

• The Crestwood Elks, 10261 Bauer Road, will host weekly meat shoots every Sunday through Thanksgiving weekend at 11 a.m.

• The St. Francis Knights of Columbus, 7381 Telegraph Road, will host family-friendly weekly meat shoots every Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. through Nov. 20.

• All St. Louis County library branch locations will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday Thursday, Nov. 24 and Friday, Nov. 25.
