- Share your plants | Share your plants and gardens with your neighbors from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Meramec Valley Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 1501 San Simeon Way. Bring outdoor or indoor plants, cuttings or seeds to swap with fellow plant lovers. Bring plants in labeled containers.

- Community parade | Get ready to celebrate “Broadway on Parade” at the 2026 Affton-Lemay Community Parade. This community event features floats, marching bands, schools, churches and local organizations coming together to showcase the spirit of the neighborhoods. - Dive into history | Join Park Guide Jared Clark for a program about the rifles used during the Civil War from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ulysses S. Grant National Historic Site, 7400 Grant Road. After a short introduction to how these weapons were used by soldiers, members of the park staff will demonstrate their use by firing the rifles. The program is free and reservations are not required.

- Dive into history | The Missouri Civil War Museum, 222 Worth Road, presents “The Camp Jackson Affair” by historian and author NiNi Harris at 1 p.m. Learn all about the tragic event in the streets of St. Louis that spiraled Missouri into armed conflict in May 1861. Known as the Camp Jackson Affair, this infamous moment of the Civil War forced every Missourian to choose a side. - Make a difference | The River Rock Church of Lemay will host its Better Rest program for families in the Lemay community who have children in need of a bed. Volunteers are wanted. Volunteers will go to homes to meet families and measure the bedrooms to make sure the bunk beds will fit. The church also needs volunteers to go into homes, build the bunk beds and gift bedding and Bibles. Donate new twin-size bedding, pillows, sheets, comforters and blankets at River Rock Church, 1601 Telegraph Road, from 9 a.m. to noon. Call the church office at 314-968-0600 if you have questions.
- Plant bingo | Head to the Whitecliff Quarry, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane, for plant bingo from 1 – 3 p.m. Every round brings the chance to win a new plant to take home and add to your collection. Whether you have a green thumb or are just getting started, you can meet fellow plant lovers and maybe take home a new leafy friend. Bring your own beverages and snacks, though glass containers are not permitted. A portion of the proceeds will help support Beautify Crestwood. It costs $10 to participate.
