The film is rated R and has a runtime of 111 minutes. The book discussion will start at 3:30 p.m., following the movie.

• Lace up your skates | Head to the Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road, for a Dolly Parton Tribute Skate. Skate to Dolly Parton’s greatest hits to celebrate her legacy, and dress up in your favorite country-western outfit. This event runs from 7 – 9 p.m., and normal admission prices apply.
• Get puzzling | There will be a puzzle competition from 7 – 9 p.m. at the Affton Community Center, 9801 Mackenzie Road.
• Watch a movie | Bring your favorite snacks and drinks, along with lawn chairs or blankets, and settle in at 7:15 p.m. for a showing of “Zootopia 2” at Ferndale Park, 974 Liggett Ave.

Saturday, Sept. 26

• Shop ’til you drop | The City of Crestwood is hosting a city-wide yard sale from 8 a.m. to noon. A map and list of participating addresses will be available on Sept. 25 at the Crestwood Community Center, on the city website and on social media. This is a rain-or-shine event.
• Shop ’til you drop | There will be a tailgate sale from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Advent Episcopal Church, 9373 Garber Road.
• Shop ’til you drop | St. John’s United Church of Christ will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The sale will take place at the church at 11333 St. John’s Church Road.
• Recycle paint | Dispose of up to 50 pounds of paint during Crestwood’s free paint recycling event, which will take place from 9 a.m. to noon at the Crestwood Government Center, 1 Detjen Drive. Accepted materials include latex paint, water-based stain and primers, which must be in the original container. The first 50 pounds per vehicle are free. Material over 50 pounds will be charged at $1 per pound. The event is open to all Crestwood and St. Louis County residents. It is funded by a grant from the St. Louis County Department of Public Health utilizing county landfill surcharge funds.
• Connect with others | Bring your plants, seeds, bulbs, tools, books and other gardening supplies to swap with fellow gardeners from 10 – 11 a.m. at the Oak Bend Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 842 S. Holmes Ave. Plants should be divided, brought in containers and labeled. Stay for refreshments.

Sunday, Sept. 27

• Make a difference | The River Rock Church of Lemay will host its Better Rest program for families in the Lemay community who have children in need of a bed. Volunteers are wanted. Volunteers will go to homes to meet families and measure the bedrooms to make sure the bunk beds will fit. The church also needs volunteers to go into homes, build the bunk beds and gift bedding and Bibles. Donate new twin-size bedding, pillows, sheets, comforters and blankets at River Rock Church, 1601 Telegraph Road, from 9 a.m. to noon. Call the church office at 314-968-0600 if you have questions.
