• Shop ’til you drop | Maurine Abel Resale Boutique at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church is having a quarter sale from 9 a.m. to noon. The sale will be held in St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Parkhurst Building, 2761 Telegraph Road. Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing will be available, as well as housewares, drapes, shoes and more — perfect for those going to live in the dorms or new apartments. Many items are going for just a quarter. Profits go to local, national, and international missions.
• Take an improv class | Farmersburg Theater will present an improv class from 10 – 11 a.m. at Grant’s View Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 9700 Musick Road. Have fun with collaborative theatrical games that will make you laugh, focus and be inspired to create. This event is meant for adults, and registration is required. • Help those in need | The River Rock Church of Lemay will host its Better Rest program for families in the Lemay community who have children in need of a bed. Volunteers are wanted. Volunteers will go to homes to meet families and measure the bedrooms to make sure the bunk beds will fit. The church also needs volunteers to go into homes, build the bunk beds and gift bedding and Bibles. • Donate blood | ImpactLife is partnering with local blood donors and drive hosts on community blood drives this week. One of the blood drives will be held at Concord Church, 13775 Tesson Ferry Road, from 2 – 6 p.m. Register to donate and check donation times for this specific drive at https://login.bloodcenter.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/151638. The overall rate of blood donation decreases during the summer months, so donations are especially needed this time of year.
