To the editor:
The Senior Property Tax Freeze online application does not provide the opportunity to upload trust documents if the property is in a trust. And if the property is in a trust, you must also provide copies of trust documents proving the applicant is a trustee or beneficiary of the property. Therefore, you cannot complete your application online if your property is in a trust.
I sent the St. Louis County Council members an email about this on Oct. 6, 2024 informing them of this glitch and requested that the issue be rectified so that residents could submit their applications online.
Unfortunately, however, to date the issue has not been rectified and I have not had any assistance in addressing this issue regarding my application.
Therefore, I am calling on the St. Louis County Council to please fix this issue for the benefit of St. Louis County residents.
If any of the readers are having a similar problem, I urge you to contact your St. Louis County Council member and request the issue be rectified.
