To the editor:
About 30 years ago I was into amateur bicycling and racing. My bicycling group often complained about drivers not sharing the road. However we ignored stop signs and I was in an accident because of it.
Now I no longer cycle but see many folks on Grant’s Trail blow through the four-way stops. I have been yelled at by cyclists when I take my turn as a driver at the stop sign. Apparently many of them believe stop signs do not apply when you are a cyclist.
I beg the police to monitor the four-way stops and start issuing tickets to cyclists, and runners for that matter, who ignore the stop signs.
I hope people start observing their Grant’s Trail stop sign before they are hit by a car.
