South County residents are invited to take part in the 16th annual World’s Largest Swimming Lesson (WLSL) on June 26.
The WLSL is a global event to promote water safety and teach children how to swim.
To be included, head over to The Pavilion in Lemay, 305 Gregg Road, from 8 to 9 a.m., or visit the Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. These lessons are beginner-friendly and built for children ages 3 to 12. The first 20 participants at each location will receive a goodie bag.
“Learning to swim is a life skill that helps children feel safe, confident and comfortable in the water,” Brian Schaffer, the director of St. Louis County Parks and Recreation, said in a release. “We’re proud to offer this opportunity to families throughout our community.”
