The St. Louis County Family Association and South County Republican Club are hosting a forum Feb. 16 to hear from the five candidates running for three open seats on the Lindbergh Schools Board of Education in the April 4 election.
The forum will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 at Peace Lutheran Church, 737 Barracksview Road, 63125.
The event is open to the public.
Those interested in attending should RSVP no later than Tuesday, Feb. 14 at www.stl-family.org/lindbergh.
Three three-year seats are open on the board: the seats of Treasurer Matt Alonzo, Vice President Christy Watz and Director Cathy Carlock Lorenz. Five candidates filed for the seats, including two of the incumbents.
The candidates’ names will appear on the April 4 ballot as follows:
- Matt Alonzo
- Christy Watz
- Andrew Lawson
- Paul Leinweber
- David Randelman
Randelman previously ran for the board unsuccessfully in 2022.
Alonzo and Watz have both served on the board since 2017.
A variety of topics will be addressed. The St. Louis County Family Association “seeks to preserve public and private education while encouraging improvement in educational outcomes.”
