The Affton School District held a vaccination event for its teachers and other staff members the first day teachers were eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine Monday, March 15. Other school districts like Mehlville and Lindbergh have also hosted events to vaccinate their staff.

Most South County school districts have held COVID-19 vaccination events for their teachers and school staff now that that they’re eligible for the shot. The Mehlville, Lindbergh, Affton, Fox and Rockwood districts are holding clinics. Hancock Place is conducting clinics through its longtime partner that runs the community clinic at Hancock High. Mehlville scheduled two virtual learning days so that teachers and staff can be vaccinated at district-run vaccine clinics March 19 and April 16. The district received doses from Dr. Tyler Taylor, a Mehlville High alum who owns St. Louis Hills Pharmacy.
