St. Louis County police are currently investigating a motorcycle crash in Affton that resulted in the death of 21-year-old Zachary Mathews.
On Aug. 21, police from the South County Precinct responded to a call about a motor vehicle crash at approximately 6:30 p.m. The crash had taken place in the 9900 block of Mackenzie Road. Two vehicles were involved in the crash: Mathews’ motorcycle and a sedan. Mathews was pronounced deceased on the scene. The driver of the sedan remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, according to police.
