Oakville Senior High School Homecoming features theme ‘What a Wonderful World’

The nominations are in and the election is set as Oakville Senior High School students will crown their Queen and King during the annual Homecoming Dance at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct., 18, in the school’s gymnasium, 5557 Milburn Road.

The Oakville High School gymnasium will be decorated with an international flair to illustrate this year’s theme, “What a Wonderful World.”

Candidates for the 2003 Homecoming Queen are: Hanna Soltys, Nikkia Taylor, Alexia Chrisco, Mallory Herr and Aubrey Dezego.

Competing for the title of the 2003 Homecoming King are: Tyler Johnson, Dan Graham, Andrew Cooper, Bryan Ostendorf and Vincent Colletti.

Oakville students this week are enjoying four days of spirited fun before Saturday’s dance. On Tuesday, students wore clothing from their favorite country for Culture Day.

Wednesday is Stoplight Day in which students wear red if they have a date for the dance, yellow if they don’t want a date or aren’t attending, and green if they need a date.

Today — Oct. 16 — students will wear Mexican clothes and accessories for Siesta Day.

Students will dress in their favorite Oakville attire Friday for Black and Gold Day and the Homecoming Parade is set for 4 p.m. Friday.

At 7 p.m. Friday, the Oakville High football team will square off against Fort Zum-walt South.
