Mehlville School District fourth-graders wrote the following letters to Santa Claus:

Dear Santa,

Sorry if I was bad this year. I always try my hardest to be nice. I really want a phone. My dad says I am too young and I have to wait until I am 13. I can’t wait that long. It is killing me. So would you be a really nice Santa and get me a phone? Merry Christmas.

Lilly T.

Dear Santa,

I think you are great. I only want a few things like a teddy bear, an iPod Touch fourth generation, a pillow pet unicorn, and me and my family to have a great Christmas. I have tried really hard to be more nice.

Rachel C.

Dear Santa,

You are very funny. I love reindeer. These are the things I want: a dog and a big fluffy teddy bear. How is Mrs. Claus? If Mrs. Claus has a baby, do you want it to be a boy or a girl? Bye and Merry Christmas.

Dear Santa,

Is Mrs. Claus nice? What do you feed Comet? I hope I get an iPhone. A puppy would be good. I will feed it. I will name it Bullseye. I will give it a chain collar, but it has to be a girl.

Dear Santa,

You’re the greatest person I ever knew. I bet you life is perfect because you eat cookies and milk all the time and wrap presents for others. Thanks to you, Christmas is here and that’s all I can ask for. Merry Christmas.

Jenny N.

Dear Santa,

How are you? Here are some of the things I want for Christmas: A microphone, a Nicki Minaj T-shirt, a Nicki Minaj necklace and the new Nicki Minaj album called “The Re-Up.” When are you going to video chat me again?

I hope you liked my cookies I made last year.

Kaelonna G.

Dear Santa,

I’ve liked the presents that you got me. I can’t wait until Christmas. I want to get a lot of video games, clothes, Xbox, Black Ops II. Have a great Christmas.

Brian C.

Dear Santa,

Thanks for the toys every year. When you come, please leave a picture of yourself. I bet it’s hard to get all those gifts to the houses in one night. What’s it like at the North Pole? And Merry Christmas to all!

Dear Santa,

I wish you could live here in St. Louis. I hope you can bring me some presents. I’ve been kind of good. My favorite holiday is Christmas. My big brother thinks you’re fake.

Dear Santa,

I think you exist. Some people don’t. I would like: a lot of 3DS games, a teenage bike, a white dog and a kind heart. I like you Santa. I think you are really great and awesome. I believe you make Christmas the special and awesomest holiday ever.

Alex H.

Dear St. Nick,

I hope your year has been very well. How are the reindeer and elves doing? You can say there’s no such thing as Santa, but as for me and my grandpa, we believe. Anyway, I want a few things for Christmas — 1) Just Dance. 4. 2) New Bike. 3) Phone. 4) Dog stuff. 5) Pajamas. I appreciate you reading this.

Hope V.

Dear Santa,

I hope you are having a great time in the North Pole. I know it is busy at this time of year. If you have a chance, I would like a new Nerf gun, a puppy that’s a boy, please, and a bow and arrow. I would also like a cyber Pegasus. The thing I want most is snow. I just really want to go sledding.

Simon S.

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? I wanted to know if you like hot cocoa? I want a tea set, a doll, a Password Journal and a Furby. If your sled motor breaks down, ask my dad to fix it. He used to work in a car repair place. And please leave a life-sized angel in my room. PS — if your elves get the flu, go to Wal-Mart.

Dear Santa,

I know that you are busy this year, but if you can get a chance I would like to have something. I would like to have a puppy that is a girl, please. I also would like an iPod touch to play games and not get bored on airplanes or car trips. I would like to have my own trampoline because I always go up to play on my friends’, but I don’t want to keep walking around the block. I want to grow my hair for people who have cancer. I am going to give it to them.

Tia L.

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? I’m doing good. Am I on the naughty or the nice list? Please circle one. There are a couple of things I would like for Christmas — phone, Wii, karaoke machine, computer and some crafts. Now that you know what, I would like you to give them to me. By any chance, can you tell Rudolph that I said hello?

Dear Santa,

What I want for Christmas, you may ask. I would just like Black Ops II and a bike. It’s OK if you can’t get me that because I know you have to go around the world. I hope you have a merry Christmas and New Year.
