A bulldozer pushes dirt out of the way at the site of the new Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane.
The lot at 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane — formerly a baseball diamond, sand volleyball courts and a wide green field — is officially a fenced-in construction zone, mounded with dirt. Construction crews for the new Crestwood Community Center are on the move.
Ground was broken at the site on May 23, with only a rough idea of when construction would begin. Now that the process is in full swing, the City of Crestwood expects it to take 18 to 24 months before the community center is complete.
The new Crestwood Community Center is a $21.3 million project funded by Proposition A, which was passed in April 2024.
