This Sunday, I celebrated two months at The Call — and let me tell you, the time has flown. I’ve spent the months typing away at my laptop, nabbing photos in the summer heat and sitting in on board meetings with my trusty notepad.

I’m Ashlynn, The Call’s new staff reporter. It’s an honor to be joining the team that brings the news to your mailbox week after week. Each Thursday, I thumb through the paper — rereading stories of our businesses, our cities — and feel myself drawn closer to this community I’ve recently become a part of.

No matter how long you’ve been in South County, maybe you feel the same. When you pick up The Call, I hope our work makes you feel informed, connected and empowered, both as a citizen and neighbor. I hope it answers questions and brings up new ones.
