The Circle K gas station at 1940 Union Road was the scene of an armed robbery Tuesday.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, at approximately 2:13 a.m. Feb. 26, the department received a call for service about a suspect who had threatened the clerk at the Circle K with a knife, demanding money.

The suspect got away with an undisclosed amount of money as well as cigarettes as he fled the area.

Committing a robbery using a knife is classified as armed robbery, the same as using a gun. No injuries were reported.

The same gas station has been robbed at least twice before in recent years, as reported by the Call in 2018 and 2017.

The St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons is leading the investigation.
