Author Adis Žiga is coming to Affton High School, 8309 McKenzie Road, on Nov. 10 to discuss his new book, “The Empty Chocolate Wrapper: Bosnian War Genocide from the Eyes of Innocence.” The book talk will take place at 7 p.m., but doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
This event is in partnership with the Center for Bosnian Studies at St. Louis University, and all are welcome to attend. Light refreshments will be provided.
The book “The Empty Chocolate Wrapper” is a memoir based on Žiga’s experiences as a child during the Bosnian War and in the aftermath. It has been described as “poignant” and “a powerful testament to human resilience.”
