The Affton Southwest precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department is hosting an active shooter preparedness community discussion Monday.
The public forum will be held at Affton High School, 8309 MacKenzie Road, Monday, June 26 from 6 to 8 p.m.
The event is free and open to the public.
Representatives from the Affton Southwest precinct will discuss how it continues to prepare for active shooter situations and how the community can prepare. The discussion will end with a question and answer session.

Earlier this month, the Affton Southwest precinct participated in an active shooter drill at Jefferson Barracks Park along with the Mehlville Fire Protection District.
