7Brew Drive-Thru Coffee — a chain coffee shop that has recently taken the country by storm — has submitted its final development plan for a new location at 9265 Watson Road. Lattes and other coffee-flavored concoctions could be joining the menu at Crestwood Crossing, which has been a hotspot for development by the city.

The proposal consists of a stand-alone building with two drive-thru lanes that wrap around it. Crestwood’s Planning and Zoning Commission will review the submitted plans at its Jan. 7 meeting; if approved, 7Brew can submit building permit applications to begin construction.

A post about the potential development drew commenters on the city of Crestwood’s Facebook page. One user commented, “I really hope they approve this! I love 7Brew Coffee! I already drive to the Kirkwood location often, but this would be just around the corner from my house!” Someone else commented, “Yay! More great things coming to Crestwood!”

Other Facebook users in Crestwood were less pleased. One commented, “I mean, at least it’s not another car parts store or car wash, but why doesn’t Crestwood draw small businesses?” and another commented, “Support your local coffee shops! No more corporate giants needed!”
