Editor’s note: The deceased has been identified as Douglas Earvin, 46, of the 3100 block of Alpen Rose Court, 63125.

A fatal motor vehicle crash near the intersection of Kingston and Geneva drives occurred on Feb. 19 at approximately 7:44 p.m. An adult male, now identified as Earvin, was pronounced deceased at the scene. 

According to the St. Louis County Police Department, officers from the South County Precinct responded to a motor vehicle crash near the aforementioned intersection. Upon arrival, officers located two vehicles involved in the crash. 

A preliminary investigation indicates that Vehicle 1 was traveling southbound on Kingston Drive when it lost control and struck another vehicle. The driver of Vehicle 1, Earvin, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased. A passenger in Vehicle 1, another adult male, was transported to an area hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. The driver of Vehicle 2, a woman, was also transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
