To the editor:
I would suggest Barbara L. Finch of Clayton, who wrote a Letter to the Editor in the Sept. 30 edition of The Call about the Tesson Ridge development, look closer to home to meet community needs. Just over 47 acres of prime land known as Shaw Park are available for multi-use development. However, St. Louis County has no jurisdiction over the incorporated city of Clayton.
Once again the conscience of West County is turned towards the independent minded communities of South County while retaining total control of development within their incorporated cities.
Citizens residing in unincorporated St. Louis County would be wise to understand the control county government wields over unincorporated (especially the 6th District) versus incorporated cities within the county.
