The unsung heroes.

This month is my 25th anniversary living and raising a family in Crestwood. Twenty-five very happy years I must add.

We are grateful for our excellent city services such as the Public Safety, Parks and Recreation and Streets and Public Works departments we frequently see and/or utilize.

However, the unsung heroes we don’t see are the men and women (including those elected) working at 1 Detjen Drive at Crestwood City Hall. These managers and their staff work behind the scenes to insure the aforementioned departments deliver services seamlessly to Crestwood residents, businesses and visitors.

Particularly impressive is the financial management of our city. Regardless of unstable sales tax revenue, our city managers have always managed to provide us with consistent municipal services. Of special mention is the successful resurrection of Crestwood Court after years of administrative and financial road blocks.

In synopsis, I feel our small City of Crestwood is managed by a team of professionals with the abilities and foresight of a big city government administration.
