Tony and Lyda (nee Edmisson) Gerding of Oakville celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary Sept. 14.
They were married Sept. 14, 1959, in Waterloo, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerding have three children: Mark (Barb) Gerding, Toni Hodge and James “Chris” (Anne) Gerding.
They are also the proud grandparents to seven: Jamie Hodge, Samantha Upshaw, David and Jeffrey Gerding, and Emily, Abbey and Casey Gerding.
Mr. and Mrs. Gerding celebrated their anniversary with a trip to Panama City Beach, Fla., and dinner with family and friends.
