It’s playtime | The Weber Road Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 4444 Weber Road, will host Lap Time from 10 – 11 a.m. There will be stories, songs and play time to help develop early literacy skills for children ages 0-24 months.

Sweetheart dance | The Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation Department will host the Shrewsbury Sweetheart Dance from 6 – 8 p.m. Dads, grandpas, uncles and guardians are invited to grab their dancing shoes and bring their little sweethearts to the dance. The evening will include dancing, snacks, a candy bar, photo opportunities and hands-on crafts. Pre-registration is required, and the cost is $20 per child. To register, call 314-647-1003. Learn from librarians | Do you have what it takes to be a librarian? Explore library skills through games and activities, and get a behind-the-scenes look at a typical day at the branch. Tropical skate | Take part in a tropical-themed skate night 6:15 – 7:45 p.m. at the Kennedy Recreation Complex, 6050 Wells Road. Dress up in your favorite Hawaiian shirts, leis, grass skirts or coconut bras — just make sure to wear them over your clothes. Normal admission prices will apply for this public skating session.

Connect with others | The Take-Off Pounds Assembly meets from 9 – 10 a.m. at 824 Union Road.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day | A Valentine’s Day-themed Pint Sized Party will be held at the Crestwood Community Center, 9245 Whitecliff Park Lane, from 10 – 11 a.m. Party with your children ages 18 months to five years. Parties will consist of themed arts, crafts, snacks, games and free-play. Pre-registration by Feb. 6 and parent involvement are required. This event costs $6 for Crestwood residents and $8 for non-residents.
Dance party | From The Supremes to Stevie Wonder, dance and play to the music of Motown’s greatest Black musicians at the Cliff Cave Branch of the St. Louis County Library, 5430 Telegraph Road. This event will take place from 10 – 11 a.m., and it is meant for children ages 0-6.

Conducted by Saint Louis Vets Connect, “Veterans Coffee Talk” was created so veterans can enjoy the brotherhood shared by all branches of service, providing a non-political atmosphere where their stories and valor can be shared. Free donuts and coffee – and occasionally breakfast – will be provided.
