Colleen Michelle Johnson and Brian Patrick Effer were married July 19 at the Shrine of St. Joseph Catholic Church by the Rev. Charles Ferrara.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Carolyn Johnson of St. Louis. The groom is the son of Mrs. Linda Hess Effer of Cincinnati, Ohio.

The maid of honor was Julie E. Johnson. Bridesmaids were Julie Caruso, Melissa Effer, Connie Chickering, Amanda Jones and Kristin Forrester.

The best man was C. Frederick Effer. Groomsmen were Josh Postorino, Kevin Effer, Daniel Lynch, Edward Gingher and Danile Wolking.

A reception was at Norwood Hills Country Club. After a wedding trip to Aruba, the couple moved to Kettering, Ohio.

The bride earned a bachelor of music degree in music therapy at the University of Dayton and is employed by Lutheran Social Services of Mid-America of Centerville, Ohio, as a marketing and special projects coordinator.

The groom earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Dayton and is employed by Mead Westvaco of Dayton, Ohio, as a marketing manager.
