Resident urges officials to fix ‘deplorable stretch of Green Park Road’

To the editor:

I have read, over and over again in the Green Park newsletter, the incredible amount of money our fair city has in reserve.

Why, then, do we need to put up with the deplorable stretch of Green Park Road between the railroad overpass and the bridge over Gravois Creek? Entering Green Park from Tesson Ferry Road, the drive — except for a few unneeded stop signs — is a pure joy until you get to the railroad overpass.

From there to the bridge, you have to wonder if you somehow have been transferred to some Third-World country. On the other hand, if you are a stranger to the area and start from Union Road, you might want to turn around, thinking you are heading into Hooterville.

So like I say, let’s turn loose of a few dollars and continue that beautiful Green Park Road all the way.
