To the editor:

Mark Tucker, St. Louis County’s current auditor, was a health care lobbyist before being hired by the County Council.

I Googled the education and requirements for an auditor. Edu-cation: minimum bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.

Additional requirement: certified public accountant or certified internal auditor certification.

Mr. Tucker does not have these requirements. So my question is why is 6th District County Councilman Ernie Trakas backing an unqualified man?
