Police are searching in South County for a missing Illinois man after his car was found Thursday night in Bee Tree Park in Oakville.

James Andrae, 49, of Peoria suburb Creve Coeur, Illinois, is around 6 feet, 1 inches tall and 200 pounds, with sandy blond hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue striped polo shirt, tan Levis and boots.

He is considered endangered because he has bipolar depression and suffers from anxiety and depression, but did not take his medications with him, police said.

He was last seen Wednesday morning in Creve Coeur, Illinois.

Andrae’s unoccupied red and black 2011 Jeep Wrangler was found about 9:53 p.m. Thursday in Bee Tree Park, 2701 Finestown Avenue. The park borders the Mississippi River.

So far, searches in the park and surrounding areas by the St. Louis County Police Department, St. Louis County park rangers, K-9 units, the Metro Air Support Unit, the Special Response Unit and the Mehlville Fire Protection District have been unsuccessful in finding Andrae.
