Police investigating ‘suspicious’ death of young woman in Lemay

Police are investigating what they are calling a “suspicious” death of a young woman in Lemay Wednesday morning.

Police found a woman they believe to be in her 20s dead on the ground at the intersection of Jefferson Barracks and Corliss Drive at roughly 7:16 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers from the South County Precinct responded to the scene for a call about a “sick case.”

The incident is being investigated by detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons. There was no police presence at the scene as of 9:50 a.m.
