Parole office better than a toxic waste dump

To the editor:
I don’t think anyone wants a prison, airport or anything personally abhorrent near their home.
At present, the Probation and Parole Division is near the largest elementary school in the Lindbergh School District. I have three children. I am not concerned. I believe in and depend on our Police De-partment to keep us safe.
We have more to fear from criminals who have not yet been caught than those reporting to their parole officer. It could be worse. I would much rather live near a parole office than a toxic waste dump.
You commented on some of the mean-spirited decisions Gov. Matt Blunt has made. Many who voted the Republican ticket wanted family values.
Here it is folks, are they surprised?
