Mehlville Superintendent Chris Gaines will still make his “State of the District” address during a global pandemic, but the speech will be in a different format this year.
The sixth annual “State of the District” is Gaines’ annual report to the community on its school district. This year, the speech will be posted for viewers to see Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Typically in years past, the State of the District was held at Nottelmann Auditorium at Mehlville High School.
However, this year’s address will be recorded in advance and shared with the public at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15 due social distancing efforts because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
