Mehlville fourth-graders tell Santa Claus their Christmas wishes

Originally Published on: Dec. 23, 2009

Fourth-graders at two Mehlville elementary schools — Point and Forder — wrote the following letters to Santa Claus:

Dear Santa,

Thank you so much for all the gifts that you gave me over the years. This year I would like something very special, though.

I would like to help the environment because if it stays the way it is, it would change human life so much.

Can you give me some power tools and a lot of wood because I want to make a playground of natural materials. I hope you like the cookies I made.

Joseph

Dear Santa,

Santa, can you please let this holiday season be special by ending all of the wars going on? It is for our lives, our religion and our family — sorry and our environment.

OK, there’s a lot of things we can lose.

Love, the best cookie maker in the world, Ryan

P.S. How’s Mrs. Claus?

Dear Santa,

I want everyone in the world to be happy because everyone is nice to me. Another thing I want for Christmas is Sonic and Mario at the Olympic Winter Games because I will see what kinds of sports are in winter.

I want some pears so I can be healthy.

Sincerely, Malik

Dear Santa,

I want the homeless to have a place to eat and to have shelter and have a good Christmas. And for my friends and family to have a good Christmas and for my dad to eat something real good for Christmas and see me. I hope my friends and family have a lot of fun at their parties.

Love, Autumn

Dear Santa,

I wish you can give my brother a new phone because his phone never works. I wish you can give my mom a foot and back massager because her back and feet hurt at night. I already got my wish. My wish was a game named Star Wars DS. My brother had a birthday party so my mom took me to Best Buy. I bought the game, but I can’t play it until Christmas.

Sincerely, Isaak

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? What do you want for Christmas? How are all your reindeer?

What is Rudolph doing? What kind of cookies do you want for Christmas? For Christmas I would like a magic kit and some horseback riding stuff and some board games. Do you have any new elves?

What age is your youngest and oldest elf? When is your birthday? When did you get Rudolph? What do your reindeer want to eat for Christmas? Do they like carrots and water? I hope you have a good Christmas.

From, Sarah

To Santa,

How are you doing? What I want for Christmas is a Megalodon Tooth and Rabbids Go Home for the DS. What is my elf doing? How are your reindeer? Are you done with making the presents? What I also want is a red RipStik, DSi and a Wii. What kind of cookies do you like? How big is your sleigh? What Christmas tree are you putting the presents under? Do you think it will snow? Is Rudolph going to come with you? Is it really cold up at the North Pole?

From, Bradley

Dear Santa Claus,

How are your reindeer? Also how are the elves Santa? Do you love giving toys to kids? I can’t wait to see toys under my Christmas tree on Christmas Santa. Is it slippery on the roof Santa? Do you love my cookies and milk I give you on Christmas? How is your wife doing?

Is Rudolph’s nose still glowing when you go drive toys to kids?

From, Cameryn

Dear Santa Claus,

How are you doing, are you busy, or should I say are the elves busy making toys for boys and girls? How are all your elves doing? I hope you come to my house on Christmas. Are you going to come to my house? I sure hope you do. Do you really have eight reindeer? Let me guess all the names, Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Blitzen, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Rudolph. Is that all eight of them? Wait I wrote eight names, right? By the way, I was just wondering if there are more girls and boys on naughty list or the good list.

Also do you want warm cookies? Now let’s talk about what I want for Christmas. I want an iPod Touch, a Slushy Maker, nail polish in any colors, and you pick the last thing. I’m not sure what my sister Brooke wants so I can’t really let you know. Well I’ll write you next year.

Love, Morgan

Dear Santa,

For Christmas I want a white Christmas. How are the reindeer doing? Can I borrow Rudolph? My lamp keeps on going out.

Have you ever been to Hawaii? Or do you live in the North Pole year round? Do you still make toys out of wood or do you have to buy the toys?

Oh and another thing I want for Christmas, a jet pack. But if you can’t get it I understand. Have you even given an elf to someone? Well thank you for the talk.

From, Corey

Dear Santa,

For Christmas I would love to have an iPod Touch, a DSi and a trampoline. How are the reindeer and the elves doing? Is everything OK down there? What kind of cookies do you like? Do you like skim milk or regular milk? Which reindeer do you like the best? I like Rudolph. He is very nice. I like his bright red nose.

I already have my Christmas tree up. All for you. Have a merry Christmas Santa.

From, Baylee

Dear Santa,

This Christmas I want Harry Potter Half-Blood Prince the movie. I want a shark book, a Metallica CD and I want to have a good Christmas. I hope you enjoy all the cookies.

From, Allen

Dear Santa,

I want a DSi, a pet hermit crab, a pet hamster, a pet Puggy and Spike the Dinosaur.

Tyler

Dear Santa,

This has been a great year for me. Christmas is so soon and I know all the elves are excited. I bet all of the reindeer are ready for their journey around the world. Are their names really Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner, Blitzen and Rudolph? Does Rudolph really have a red nose? There has only been sleet in St. Louis. We want a white Christmas, though. How is it doing in the North Pole, did the elves make a lot of presents for the good boys and girls? Oh yeah, how is Mrs. Claus doing? Has she made a lot of cookies for you?

Have I mentioned what I want yet? Well I want some UGG boots, cotton candy maker, and an iPod Touch. We have not made your cookies yet because I want them to be fresh and warm. The gifts in the past that you have given to me were awesome. I can’t wait to see what you give me this year.

After Christmas is over and it’s time to start another year you will be making so many new toys for everyone around the world. You are the best toymaker in the world just so you know. Can you do something for me. It’s about my sister. Her basketball is lost and she needs a new one. So if you could be so nice and get her one.

This has been a great year and I can’t wait for next year.

From, Lauren

Dear Santa,

I am writing to you to see how you are doing. How is Mrs. Claus doing down there? How are all your reindeer doing?

Are your nervous about delivering presents? I hope I am on the nice list. If I am, can you give me lots of presents? What I really want is the best Christmas for you and me. That would make me really happy. Even if you give me a cell phone I will still be happy.

Nothing could make me happier than Christmas joy. These presents mean nothing to me. You mean more to me than presents any day. I love you. My family loves you. The world loves you. Even dogs love you in their heart. Anybody who doesn’t is a jerk.

If I could wish upon a star, I would wish I could see you in real life. If I could really I would be so happy. I would hug you and hug you and hug you. If you could for me, send me a green elf while it is moving. I would love you more than anybody in the world. Oh, and please if you can, make my brother a little bit nicer to me.

Love, Michael

Dear Santa,

I have been waiting so long for Christmas to come along. This Christmas I want a DSi and a lot of games to go with it. When I wake up in the morning, I will hopefully see all the toys I want.

I also want clothes, socks, an iPod touch and UGG slippers. On Christmas Eve my family will put out fresh-baked cookies. What kind is your favorite? I like sugar cookies.

How are all the reindeer down in the North Pole? I have been counting down how many days are until Christmas. I bet all the elves are at hard work right now. Say hi to them for me; same with the reindeer.

When it comes to be Christmas night, I will listen if you and the reindeer on the roof, but I don’t have a chimney so you will have to use your magic to get in the house.

In my stocking I want gloves and snow stuff. Make sure you dress up warm on Christmas night. Thank you.

From, Ashlyn

Dear Santa Claus,

For Christmas I would like to have an iPhone, the board game Sorry Sliders, the movie G-Force and for everyone in the world to have the best Christmas ever. I hope you will like the cookies and milk my family puts out for you.

Christmas is one of my favorite holidays. I hope you fill up my red and white stocking and the bottom of my beautiful Christmas tree. I have two sisters named Julie and Olivia. I hope you give them and me a merry Christmas. My family and I wish you a merry Christmas.

Sincerely, Jackson

Dear Santa,

I know you have a lot to do before Christmas, but I just wanted to say how much it means to me to have a very special Santa put presents under my tree. It also is special because Santa Claus is eating my cookies, I mean, Santa Claus!

I hope you and your family are feeling well for Christmas. Like people say it’s the best time of the year. Have a merry, merry Christmas. I was wondering what kind of milk you want and the kind of cookies you want. I have really liked the presents you have given me in the past few years. I hope you surprise me this year like St. Nick. Like I said have a merry, merry Christmas.

From, Ryan

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? Do you think I was good this year? Before I start, I should tell you I think Mrs. Claus and the elves are working a little too hard.

Well, my family’s been awfully good this year. Thank you for calling this year at school. What is your favorite cookie? For Christmas, my sister wants a DSi and my other sister wants an iPod touch and I want a whole card of earrings. If you can, please give me presents.

From Chloe

Dear Santa Claus,

I want a Littlest Pet Shop Adoption Center, a DSi and some Wii games.

My mom wants some pairs of brown boots. My dad wants stuff for his village and Christmas stuff. My brother wants the new Nerf sword and gun. My cat wants cat nip and treats. I hope Santa eats all of the cookies and brings lots of presents and a good fun Christmas. And a happy New Year. Ho, ho, ho.

From, Arianna

Dear Santa,

How are you, preparing for Christmas Eve and all. I would like a kitten for Christmas because a few months ago my cat died. He was very old, I never knew him when he was a kitten. He was 30 years old in cat years.

I would also like an iPhone because that is what all my friends want, and it has a phone on it plus 3g which basically means that you get Wi-Fi everywhere. I also have a question for you Santa, why don’t the elves on shelves like cookies like you do? Do you train them to pull pranks or do you train them to walk around and move?

Did you know that Christmas is my favorite holiday? Halloween is the second while the Fourth of July is the third. What’s your favorite holiday? This is the end of my letter.

Happy holidays, Kyle

Dear Santa Claus,

I don’t really care what I get but I want to have a good Christmas. But I want a picture of a Megalodon shark. I would like to thank you for letting me have an elf. Also we need a new controller for the Wii. For Christmas I want Wii games, Nerf guns and Legos. I hope you have a good Christmas Santa.

From, Tony

Dear Santa Claus,

Merry “Christmas. Are you busy at the North Pole? If it is not too much to ask I would like a trampoline for Christmas. My sister would like Zhu Zhu Pets.

How is Mrs. Claus? What is your favorite cookie? I like gooey butter cookies and pecan balls. What is Mrs. Claus’ favorite cookie? Has my family been good this year? Are your elves a lot of help when it comes time for Christmas?

When it is Christmas night are you very tired the next day? I would be very tired if I was Santa Claus. Does Mrs. Claus stay awake until you get home from delivering presents? I would not be able to stay up that long. Have a merry Christmas.

From, Katie

Dear Santa,

How are you doing? I am fine. Are you getting ready for Christmas? What would you like for Christmas? Are your reindeer getting ready too? What kinds of cookies do you like Santa?

I like chocolate chip cookies with cold milk. How many toys are you making? Probably a lot. This is what I want for Christmas. Santa Nerf guns, skinny jeans, puzzles, board games, Wii game, DS game and I think you know the rest.

Thank you very much for the elf Edgar. I love him so much. I feed my elf milk and crackers every night. Is that too much for Edgar? Do your elves like making all the toys for the good boys and girls around the world. How old are you Santa? Will I get Edgar next year Santa? Will we get snow soon? I track you on Christmas night when you come Santa. I love you Santa a lot. Do you get a lot of letters and did you get my letter I sent you already?

What kind of music do you like? I like Z107-7 a lot. Have I been a good girl or a bad girl?

From, Alyssa

Dear Santa,

How are your reindeer? How is Mrs. Claus? I am guessing Mrs. Claus has made you a lot of cookies. Are your elves working hard at the North Pole? Have you had a good year? What does your Christmas tree look like?

I hope you have a great Christmas. Who is your favorite reindeer? My favorite reindeer is Blitzen and Rudolph. I bet you have a huge Christmas tree. I bet you have a great sleigh. What does your sleigh look like? Well this is my Christmas list: DSi, surprise, ornament, video games, basketball.

Sincerely, Mark

Dear Santa Claus,

I hope you eat a lot of cookies so you can give little children their presents. So eat a lot of cookies. I hope you like them. Have a good Christmas.

Could you bring me a new sewing machine, please, and a hat for my dad? Santa could you bring me some Webkinz? Could you bring me a Wii and a DSi?

Santa, will you try to give every child what they want?

Sincerely, Chloe

Dear Santa,

I have been good this year. So can I have a Megalodon Tooth and to keep my elf forever and ever. You can keep it in my Frosty the Snowman stocking or under the green Christmas tree covered in ornaments. Rob will be happy and so will I. So please Santa, for Rob and me. I will leave out even more cookies and milk and even more orange carrots for all the reindeer.

Your friend, Cole

Dear Call Newspapers,

I don’t celebrate Christmas, but I do celebrate New Year’s Eve. Instead of being at my house, I go somewhere else. It is because I am Islamic. I still have fun on Christmas. I have snowball wars with my brother and friends. That is all I do on Christmas, plus hot cocoa.

I still get presents on New Year’s eve, but not so much and one gift is better than nothing. I only celebrate my birthday and New Year’s Eve. If I could get one gift, it would be an Xbox 360 game.

That is all I want.

Sincerely, Almir
