A motorcyclist died Sunday after hitting a car on Telegraph Road in Lemay.

Richard Pryor, 47, of the 300 block of Quincy Road in Kirbyville, died at a hospital after colliding around 2:47 p.m. with a Kia Rio sedan in the 1500 block of Telegraph Road, police said.

Police from the South County Precinct of the St. Louis County Police Department said the crash happened when the Kia Rio sedan was making a turn onto northbound Telegraph Road from eastbound Allegheny Avenue.

The car was hit by a motorcycle traveling southbound along Telegraph in the intersection.

Both occupants of the Rio were uninjured in the crash, and the driver, a man, remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Pryor was transported to a hospital for lifesaving treatment but was later pronounced dead.

The crash is being investigated by the St. Louis County Police Department’s Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Accident Reconstruction Team.
